Boston by day
Amazing day in Boston, with sparse fluffy white clouds sprinkling the bright, blue sky. We woke, coffeed and headed to the Harpoon Brewery on the docks. An awesome craft beer brewing company with a delicious selection, interesting history and sustainable attitude to production and manufacturing. The tour included a wander through the brewery (with a couple of small glasses of beer) and then a 15minute all-you-can-drink session at the brewery! There was a selection of IPAs, festival beers, wheat beers and ciders, but I only had time to sample the Harpoon dark, coffee porter, chocolate stout, raspberry UFO (UnFiltered Offering), Truffle (50% raspberry UFO, 50% chocolate stout)... All of which were delicious!

We stumbled off with clam chowder next on our 'to consume' list, but ended up in the Whisky Priest no more than 200m from the brewery! A ridiculously huge selection of whsky, but my mind had decided now was a good time to fail me as I attenpted to recall delicious whiskeys I'd consumed in years gone by... Pulling up blanks, the bartender recommended Paddy's. Which Casey and I enjoyed with a few cheeky rocks.

Realising I hadn't put anything solid inside my body today (except for my fist in my mouth to muffle my shrieks of sheer excitement at being in North Americas largest craft brewery) we headed off to find the Union Oyster House. Casey had been previously and assured me the seafood chowder was amazing. After wandering somewhat aimlessly around the park for a while, including crossing the worlds smallest suspension bridge, we found it. As you walk in there's an oyster bar, with the little marmots being shucked right there in front of you... Naturally I couldn't progress past that stage until I'd consumed a good few Blue Point Oysters. Holy! They were amazing. I'm tempted to say better than Tasmanian oysters, but really need to compare them side by side. What a fantasy job! Dinner was garlic mussels, while Casey enjoyed a swordfish steak. A. Mazing.

We wandered back home, both feeling fairly fat and sassy, and with colds threatening to exacerbate if too much vigorous dancing was embraced... Although I did find a lovely bronze man who helped me cross a road.
